Understanding Translingo's Pricing

Translingo offers flexible plans designed to grow with your store. Our pricing is split into two parts: your monthly subscription for app features and your choice of translation engine.

1. Translingo’s Subscription Plans

All paid plans include access to AI Bulk Translation and the ability to connect External Engines.

  • Free Forever: Best for small stores. Includes up to 20 languages and manual translation.

  • Lite ($7.90/mo): Includes 500,000 characters for our built-in engine and unlimited bulk translation via external providers.

  • Complete ($39.90/mo): Includes 5,000,000 characters for our built-in engine, lower rates for extra characters, and Auto-translate for new content.

2. Translation Costs (Built-in vs. External)

You have two ways to handle the costs of translating your characters:

  • Using our Built-in Engine:
    Your plan comes with a generous character balance. If you run out, you can buy top-up packages per million characters ($12/M on Lite, $8/M on Complete). These credits never expire, and the charges will appear on your Shopify invoice.

  • Using External Providers (DeepL/Google):
    If you connect your own API key, Translingo does not charge you for the characters translated. You pay the provider (DeepL or Google) directly at their base rates. This allows for unlimited bulk translation without any markup from us.

3. Why is there a "Pay Yearly" option?

Choosing the yearly billing option provides a significant discount on your monthly subscription fee. Please note that the top-up characters (if you’re using the built-in engine) are still billed directly after purchase by Shopify.
